The project in a nutshell - Ultrapure water is heated to generate steam that is injected into the oil field to make the oil more liquid - The cogeneration plant produces steam and power - The oil treatment installation separates the oil and water - Within the near future the Schoonebeek oil field will have 73 wells at 18 production locations - The oil will be transported to the BP Lingen refinery in Germany - The water separated from the oil will be injected into depleted gas fields in the Province of Twente - The steam produced by the cogeneration plant will be supplied to the public electricity grid
